You’ve Got to Move It Move it!

You’ve been trying to convince someone to at least consider your point of view – but they won’t budge.  Literally.

Interesting choice of words.  When someone won’t “budge” from their mental position, chances are they are not “budging” from their physical position either.  So if you want them to consider changing their mental “standpoint” – then what you need to do is subtly get them to change their physical “standpoint.”

If they are sitting, get them to stand.  If they are standing, ask them to walk with you over to the water cooler.  If their arms are crossed and locked, hand them something so that they can “open up.”

Subtle, but powerful stuff.
