Where Joy Lives

It's so normal, in the wake of a tragedy like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings, to experience sadness, hopelessness, fear and depression.  And yes, we are an amazingly resilient people and we know we WILL overcome all such travesties, but sometimes we just need a little help in those moments of the deepest pain.

As a motivational speaker I have always proclaimed the power in choosing what you will focus on in any given moment.  And while it's important to grieve and process the sorrow in our lives, it's also of value to know when to move our focus to something more positive.  And it was in an attempt to do just that when I discovered something that made me INSTANTLY feel hope, gratitude, joy and a renewed sense of belief in the goodness of people.
