What’s your theme this year? Mine is Letting go…

Why not make this year's them to let go...

Now is a great time to let go of things that do not serve you

I love themes! I love having a theme song, a theme for my relationship and now a theme for the new year. I have claimed 2013 the year of letting go and I have a lot to let go of.  My list actually started small, then it grew.   let me just admit the things I'm willing to let go of:

1. Anger

2. Unrealistic expectations put upon me by others

3. Unrealistic expectations put upon me by me!

4. frustrations of the past

5. past failures

6. Clutter

7. Excess lbs put on my 1 too many celebration meals recently!

Just admitting these things helps create more positive space in my head.  And, being a motivational speaker – that's a good thing!

So let me know what YOUR theme is, and if you don't have one, then feel free to adopt mine.  I'd love to know what you are letting go of!

If you want to read someone else's more in-depth blog on this as well as some great suggestions, go to this outstanding piece I found while searching for a picture depicting letting go.  Enjoy!

    for me that looks like

    Abundant love

    Abundant good health

Abundant work wherein I can make a positive difference for others.

Abundant joy and fun and happiness

    Abundant finances

    Abundant creativity

    Abundant productivity

  2. Mine continues to be Acceptance and Appreciation. Funny how the more I appreciate, the more I accept.

  3. Mine is SIMPLIFY.  Letting go of all the extra busy work and extraneous distractions so that I can focus on what's really important: family, health, and my motivational speaking business!  I love your observation of "creating more positive space" in your head once you've stated what you're letting go of!  Love it!

  4. My theme for this year is intense FOCUS. Staying focused on why I do what I do and its impact on the world. Focus on me, not those ahead of me or those around me. Focus on my clear stated path, not side notes that distract me from that and take me off focus. Focus on the big picture, and the steps I need take to where I want to go. And focus on the people I serve.
