Serving To Get Business In This New Economy

One of the easiest ways for me to get business is to give it away. Serving others pays off. Maybe not in the way you think – and your motives can’t be to serve so you can get – but it still comes back. Here’s a blog I wrote about it:

Motivational Speaker Kelly Swanson - called one of North Carolina's funniest women by Our State Magazine. Kelly lifts the spirits of audiences from coast-to-coast using humor, storytelling, and lives of the characters from Prides Hollow - Kelly's make believe small town. This unique approach to motivational speaking allows Kelly to break through communications barriers and connect directly to the audience's imagination.
Her powerful stories and wacky wit will make you laugh, remind you that you matter, show you how to see beyond your obstacles, and teach you how to stand up and stick out in a crowded market.

  1. I think it is great to open and helpful, and that pays great dividends in the end. However, I’d be careful throwing around the ‘free’ word. In my experience, people seldom appreciate what they get for free. They respond much more seriously if they have ‘some skin in the game’. For all motivational keynote speakers, I ask you to think about the nightmare motivational speaking gigs you’ve had. How many were free, or for nearly free? I’m just saying.

  2. I believe the same think, Kelly.   I really do hope you get a booking out of your generosity to this fellow though!
