Communication-Speaker-Colette-CarlsonThis post on my other blog began after reading a humorous anecdote from a veterinarian. It again reinforced that when it comes to behavior,  we have a lot in common with our four-legged friends.

  1. I can just picture her throwing food at her dog and then the dog thinking how great this works out!  Thanks for sharing.  Oh, and on the part about the men? Guilty.

  2. Yes, Colette! That was fabulously well said! John does this with our dogs all the time. They sit on the sofa next to him while he's eating his popcorn and just stare at him. Finally he caves in and gives them all a piece. Crazy. But what's worse is when it's more serious things – like you mention. Great post!

  3. Amen! And guilty as charged. :)

  4. I, too, have been guilty of this.  I guess we all have something else in common.  And if the 5 of us have done this I think it's safe to assume that it's an easy behavioral trap for most people.  It takes and insightful motivational speaker like you, Colette, to help open our eyes to a pattern that may not be serving us well.
