Polly’s Tasty Toast Topper

As a motivational speaker on health & wellness, I am constantly looking for foods that are not only healthy, but are also really, really, REALLY tasty.  And one day, while playing in the kitchen, I created a deeply delicious breakfast spread that will help you literally spring into your day!

We all LOVE  tasty, sweet and yummy in the mornings from time to time.  But who wants to load up with all that heart stopping sugar?  Not me, by golly.

So here’s a FABULOUS topper for your morning toast that not only tastes AMAZING, but is also good for you!  Yippee!  Bring it on!

Polly’s Tasty Toast Topper

2 baked sweet potatoes

1/4 Cup almond butter

1/4 Cup  pure maple syrup (yes, I’m talking pure. None of that fake stuff here)

Mix all these ingredients together and generously spread on whole grain toast (raisin or any kind of fruit toast is also great!)

I’ve shared this recipe with lots of people who have become deliriously happy toast toppers.

OH!  And why not make up a big batch so that you can portion up some in cute little mason jars and give as hostess gifts when you go to someone’s house for dinner?  They will truly, deeply and sincerely thank you.

By the way, when you are baking your sweet potatoes for your evening meal, throw a couple of extras in to use later.  It’s easy to motivate yourself to eat well, when you have the right ingredients immediately on hand.

  1. Oh listen. I have HAD this tasty toast topper. I saw Polly show how simple and easy it was on a television show where she was the guest chef/life-style expert and it looked really good so I tried it. I’m telling you it was AMAZING!!! Absolutely FABULOUS! We made it for my mother-in-law and she now insists we keep her “stocked.”

  2. Polly this sounds amazing! Somehow I have come up with the misconception that everything healthy is supposed to taste like butt. Which must be wrong. Because sweet potatoes, butter, and maple syrup is not what I call a hardship! I think I can do that! Thanks for the motivational speaker’s truth to living healthy!
