Oh. I get it!

motivational speakers share truthsI know I’m supposed to be a motivational speaker, but when it comes to intelligence, well, you can thank me for the whole bell curve thing. Which is why I’m just now getting it. But for those of you who haven’t heard this before, let me bring my fellow slow learners up to speed:

Oh yes it’s true. I know this statement comes in fancier terminology like “law of attraction” and “energy” and “putting it out in the universe” and other statements that make me think I’m on Star Trek. And while I don’t quite believe understand in the things that people are associating it with or attributing it to – whatever you call it, I’m saying that there is something to this. I keep seeing it play out in my life, over and over and over again.

When I share knowledge and advice, knowledge and advice is shared with me. When I help others, I find myself being helped in other places. When I agree to serve, it turns out I get served in ways I never expected. When I give the shirt off my back, someone else gives me their shirt with bedazzles. When I let go of my money, it comes back to me ten fold. When I release the temptation to be perfect, I am chosen for my imperfection. When I give, I am given to. And when I love in spades, love comes back to me spades.

You can call it energy. You can call it fate. You can call it pure dumb luck. I don’t really care what you call it. I know the author and creator of my Truth. And now I’m seeing why He says, “Give unto others and it will be given unto you.” I am seeing why He tells me to love with no condition, and to show grace with the same measure as it was given to me – which is immeasurable. So yeah. I get it. And what a beautiful thing it is to see when it comes back. And even more beautiful, when you begin to love the act of giving without caring if it comes back.

You get what you give.

Gotta run and see if I have any gold jewelry to give away. I’m just sayin’…
