Motivational Speakers Take Off The Face

I think the most impactful motivational speakers are the ones who have the courage to be real with their audience – to take off the face. Or maybe that's just what I tell myself to justify the fact that I act like a complete fool on stage.

Someone taped me opening up the WIBU Catalyst Women's Conference in Muncie, Indiana. Thought I'd share it. Who knows – maybe there's something in there that will make you smile.

Motivational Speaker Kelly Swanson - called one of North Carolina's funniest women by Our State Magazine. Kelly lifts the spirits of audiences from coast-to-coast using humor, storytelling, and lives of the characters from Prides Hollow - Kelly's make believe small town. This unique approach to motivational speaking allows Kelly to break through communications barriers and connect directly to the audience's imagination.
Her powerful stories and wacky wit will make you laugh, remind you that you matter, show you how to see beyond your obstacles, and teach you how to stand up and stick out in a crowded market.

  1. Oh Kelly, your stories and your heart are so exquisite and rich. Every motivational speaker on the planet should be half as authentic and honest as you are. It gives us ALL permission to keep it real. Thank you for sharing this!

  2. You always motivate and mesmerize me when I listen to you!

  3. Wow, Kelly!  You cast a spell when you weave your words the way you do.  A spell that shows us what's real.  Brilliant!

  4. Aw shucks, ladies. You make my heart sing. I can't express how much courage you give me. Yes, even motivational speakers need encouragement and motivation! And might I add, that every single one of you has that "real" quality that you praise in me. So I'm taking this mirror and holding it up to you – so you can look yourself in the eyes and say, "I have that too. I am incredible. And my words matter."

You ladies keep me spell-bound. On stage and off.

  5. Hey Kelly – You are so unique and special.  In my many years as a motivational speaker, I've never met someone quite like you!  And, since you speak about standing out – it's perfect.  You're perfect in your amazing talent!  Thank you! P.S. Shared it today with someone you should know!

  6. Thanks Marilyn. But like I said before – we all share these qualities. I think that's why we're here. But I appreciate the sentiment and the share all the same.  :)
