Let It Go! Let It Go! Let It Go!

If we are going to create anything new and exciting in our lives, there is one thing most of us MUST do.  We must let SOMETHING go in order to make room for that new thing.

For example, if you have a closet that is jam packed with stuff, the way to make room for a new item is to throw away something you don’t need anymore.

What is it in your life that no longer serves you and you do not need?  Consider a few of my possibilities:

  • A mindset.  One that says, “I could never have that.  I don’t know how.  I’m not good at that.  I couldn’t pull it off,” etc
  • Old clothes that don’t fit.  Look, if I ever DO lose the weight to fit back into them, they’ll probably be out of style.  And a homeless shelter, Goodwill or the Salvation Army could put them to good use right now.
  • The need to control – everything.  No one appointed me General Manager of the Universe.  The more I release my need to control everything and everyone around me, the more open and receptive I will be to new possibilities
  • Triple venti, mocha frappe vanilla late – with whipped cream.  Do I even need to elaborate on this one?

So, let it go, kick it out, make a space.  As we know, nature abhors a vacuum.  Just make the space, decide WHAT you want to go into it, and get into action!!
