We talk about this all the time – setting goals. But do we know how to set a goal? It’s not exactly something we’re taught in grade school. I don’t think. Anyway. Found this great blog post about how to set your goal. As a motivational speaker, it’s awesome advice!

  1. Thanks for sharing this, Kelly.  I LOVE being reminded of what it takes to actually ACHIEVE our goals.  And as a motivational speaker I’ve spoken about goal achievement many times and dedicated a HUGE chapter to it in my CD series, 12 Secrets to High Self-Esteem.  I would like to add to those 8 steps one more:  CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES, certainly at the end – and often along the way.  It’s those little “mini parties” that can give us the impetus to do more!

  2. Yes and Yes.  Kelly – I love any article on goal setting because it’s so important and exciting.  And, yes to LindaI totally believe in celebrating!  Even if it’s little celebrations too – like a star on your calendar every time you work out.  Then, you can see all of your progress over the weeks, months and years!
