How To Tell a Compelling Story – by the MASTERS!

1995-toy-story-191-780-86-eeaaf52b-sz480x480Okay – this one is NOT just for motivational speakers, writers and bloggers. It's for EVERYONE who is trying to make a meaningful connection with someone else and understands the power of stories to do just that!  Read this list of Pixar's 22 Rules to Phenomenal Storytelling and see how many you apply when you are weaving together your stories. Remember, this is from PIXAR! The people who brought you all the Toy Story series, Finding Nemo and Up!

One of my favorite rules is actually a formula:  It goes like this:

One upon a time there was _____. Every day, ______. One day ______. Because of that, ______, Because of that, ________. Until finally _______.

Brilliant, I say.
