Exercise: Stop Trying to Stay Motivated!

Heresy isn't it?  Why would I give this advise as a motivational speaker on health and fitness? Click here and see what I have to say about cutting yourself some slack when you're too pooped to pump.

Motivational Speaker Polly Pitchford didn’t always know the phytochemical benefits of kale, in fact, those words weren’t even in her vocabulary 30 years ago. Neither did she see any reason to do jumping jacks on a cement surface for an hour. But all it took was a chance vegetarian cooking class and some high-energy music to open her eyes upon a whole new world of healthy living. For 30 years Polly has practiced, studied, taught, educated and lived a healthy lifestyle that makes her such a powerful speaker.

Polly’s down-to-Earth and humorous approach mirrors her own lifelong journey to lasting, positive changes. The audience walks away with tangible plans for improving their health and their lives through food, fitness and fun.

  1. Music to my ears Polly! Thank you for allowing me, even as a motivational speaker, to take breaks from being motivated.

  2. Speaking of breathing; a loving reminder to pause and take 5 deep breaths, my friend :)

  3. Hey Polly that's GREAT!!! Seriously! I keep thinking that as a motivational speaker, I SHOULD be better at staying motivated that most people. And while, I'm pretty good, there are in fact times when I want to sit on the sofa, eat bonbons, watch soap operas and check out.  Thanks for the assurance that this is normal!

  4. As a wax and wane, ebb and flow gal I love this advice, Polly!

  5. Thanks Polly – I did exactly this over the weekend.  Went out country line dancing and out to dinner and threw the whole 'moderation' concept out the window!  Once in awhile, we do just need to let loose.  Thanks for helping me let go of the guilt for the day.
