Change Your Words – Change Your World

As a motivational speaker, my words are my medium. I believe strongly in their power to affect change – both positively and negatively depending upon the intention behind them.

I saw this video today and it profoundly impacted me. Not only because of this idea that there is a measurable effect between the words we use and what outcomes we get, but because of the bigger message of engagement.  Words do help us engage, see what’s important and often compel us to take action.

Watch this short video and tell me what you think.

  1. Wow. You are right, Linda. This is a very powerful video – and a powerful example of how words can change our lives. I wonder how often my words are holding me back? And the great thing is that words don’t cost us anything. We can change the world with just a cardboard sign. Thanks for posting. I have shared this video with my peeps.

  2. Linda, I LOVE this video. Used to use this clip in my sales class as a beautiful example to show the difference between providing information and getting others emotionally engaged. On a deeper level, love this video for all the same reasons you probably do. Shows compassion, kindness, the power of words, what a difference one person can make in another’s life and how blessed I am that I can see what a beautiful day it is. And it is even more beautiful, Linda, since you are spreading the joy through your powerful, well-chosen words.

  3. Ditto ditto ditto.  Everything our speaker blogger buddies Kelly and Colette have already said.  Love it love it love it.  Thanks for this!!!!
